A Trip To The Bookstore | Booksale in SM Megamall

So I've ran out of things to read because I found myself rereading some novels that I already read so I went to Booksale. Now, the name describes itself. Alot of their books are way cheaper than their usual price and they have books that are pretty popular or some that you've probably never heard of.

I guess the only downside of this bookstore is that they don't carry the complete series of the books (you know, if the book you found is in a series). Some are already has some folds here and there but nothing too tragic.

The space is quite small since people keep going in and out or stopping to read or gather books that they're about to purchase. But I guess that's just a verification that this place does have really good books.

Not gonna lie, I did feel overwhelmed with all the choices but I managed to pick up one book which is "The Lake Of Dreams" by: Kim Edwards for PHP 145 and I'll be reading it in the weekend. But yea, I guess going on a book store is probably one of my favorite things to do. I can't explain why without blabbering too much but I guess it's because I really do like books a lot.

So, when was the last time you've picked up a new book to read or went to a bookstore?

Best Of 2015 || Beauty Products

So instead of me doing a monthly favorites this month, I thought that I would do my best or mostly used products for this whole year and I really picked out the ones that I think everybody else should try out.

  • Stila all day liquid lipstick in Patina
I have been wearing this shade whenever I see myself wear a plain tee or just anything ordinary since it does make a bold statement even if I had minimal to no makeup on. Click here for the price and review.

  • Stila all day waterprood liquid eyeliner
This would have to be my all time favorite eyeliner because of how opaque the product is and how easy it is for me to play around with how I put it around my eye. Click here for the price and review.

  • LOL (lots of love) bronzing powder
A very subtle bronzer that is good for an everyday wear. It stays in tact for awhile and easily buildable if you want more of an effect to your look. Click here for the price and review.

  • NYX soft matte lip cream in Abu Dhabi
A super simple shade that is quite similar to the natural lip color. I like to call this my "when in doubt" product because of how natural the finish is to the lip and it's matte. Click here for the price and review.

  • Benefit roller lash
Works as a eye curler + mascara. Most beneficial for those who are on-the-go. Read more about that here.

  • Lush daddy-o Purple shampoo
Used this ever since I started bleaching my hair to avoid having brassiness and it worked like a charm. The scent is not too strong but very subtle to the nose and it lasts the whole day on my hair.

  • Chic "Gypsetter" from the boho chic! collection
A periwinkle blue nail polish. Super cute that for me is perfect for all occassions.

  • Silky girl moisture rich lipstick in Sensual
If you are looking for a cheap but good quality lipstick, then this collection is for you. More details here.

  • Chromastix Hair chalk intense
I used this last Halloween and loved it! If I wanted a temporary hue to my hair, I'll definitely reach for this because of how amazing it looks. And, it's pretty cheap too. More about this here.

  • Nichido Tru Lashes Eyelash Adhesive
It may look small but it definitely does it's job. I admit that I don't often wear fake eyelashes and when I do, I find myself struggling at the middle of the day to keep it in my eye due to bad quality glue. This however helped my lashes to stay intact throughout the day.

  • Real Natura Organics Soft Matte Lip Gem in Caramel Glaze
A nude lipstick that is perfect for an everyday wear plus, the brand promotes all organic (cruelty-free babes!). Check out more of this here.

  • Mac Matte Lipstick in Velvet Teddy
I have been hunting this lipstick down for the whole year and finally got it this month. I love it! I finally get why it's always sold out because of how amazing the quality and lasting power is. I will be posting a more elaborate review on this in January so stay tuned for that.

  • Rucy's Vanity Mascara in Black
I mentioned above that Roller lash from Benefit is indeed one of the top mascaras this year for me but due to it's fast expiration (mascaras tend to only last for 2-3 months max) and it's price, it did break my heart to stop using it. This mascara however is really cheap and does almost exactly the same job as the roller lash. The packaging is very sleek and professional and the wand prevents the mascara from plumping. To know more, click here.

  • Virgin Coconut Oil
I just started using VCO on myself this year and all I could say is, why haven't I used this sooner? It's a miracle product all on it's own due to having so much benefits just by using it everyday or when you need it. The brand actually doesn't matter since they are all made from the same ingredients and they are natural. A little spoiler, I will be posting a "why I love virgin coconut oil" here on my blog around January so keep an eye out for that one.

What were your favorites this year?

lol (Lots Of Love) Cosmetics Eyeshadow Review | 01 Black Betty

Last I reviewed a product from this brand was the bronzing powder. And while I use that quite often, I can't deny that I had high hopes for this one. I picked this up for my Halloween makeup for the Halloween party that me and my brother attended.

Price: P139 ($3.04)

What do I think of this product?
I could say that the colors blue, white & black were very pigmented. However, the gray and silver shades needs more building up if you intend on using them. During application, it does get messy since the powder moves all over the lids so you would want to apply this first before putting on foundation and everything else. This comes with a little applicator that I actually used once but it keeps sucking up all the colors so I don't really use it anymore. If you're into shimmery eyeshadows, all of these are perfect for you except from the black since you can't really see the shimmer in it. You could also easily find this at any Watson's or SM department store branches. They do have other colors to choose from which I kinda regret note taking note of what colors or names they were.

Hearts indicating what colors I used. No eye liner or mascara. Lipstick Nyx Soft Matte Lip cream in Abu Dhabi.
Hearts indicating what colors I used. No eye liner or mascara. Lipstick used: Silky Girl Moisture Rich in Sensual.

Is it worth the money?
For how cheap it is, yes. If you're looking for a palette that's light or easy to carry around without having to worry reapplying for the whole day or night, then this is your product! Easy to use for beginners or who likes playing with their smokey eyes, just remember to get a separate brush because again, I didn't enjoy using the applicator that much.

I hope that you've found this review useful and if you have any more questions, suggestions or requests, please comment down below and I'll reply to them as soon as I can.

lol (Lots Of Love) Cosmetics Bronzing Powder Review

To be honest, I haven't heard about this brand too much and when I saw their makeup stall at SM Department store, I noticed that all of their prices are pretty cheap so I picked one up which is this bronzing powder. I love contouring my face using a bronzer for an everyday look so let's see how I like this.

Price:
P139 ($2.96 USD) at any SM Department store or Watsons

What do I think of this product?

I am still in a current love-hate relationship with this bronzer because it is so subtle that I really do need to build it up to see decent results. Although, for how oily my face is, I'm surprised that this lasted me about 4-5 hours during a hot weather for how cheap it is. I didn't experience any breakouts and the product is easily blendable. I'm not sure if this will be a problem or not, but they only have 2 colors for this bronzer and what I have is the matte bronzer in the shade 02 Brown Sugar and the other one is a shimmery bronzer which I am guessing is the 01.

Applied it below my cheekbones and a little on the sides of my forehead.

Is It worth the money?

I am positively sure that it is, I think that I made a lucky 1st purchase for this brand or this brand really is great, I would really be trying out more of their products since I think that it is promising. I highly recommend this for anyone who is just starting to use makeup and looking for cheap products to buy and use.

I hope that this has helped you if you are looking into getting this product and comment down below if you have any more questions or suggestions on what product you think I'll like. I'll try to reply to them as soon as I see them.

I Dreamed That I Was Watching Myself Sleep.

For some reason most of my dreams (probably 8 out of 10 dreams I had) I was always aware that it was a dream. Although this one, it is quite different.

So at the start of my dream, I was having some fun moments that I honestly couldn't remember, all of a sudden everything went the opposite. People suddenly hated me and I was being attacked by something. That happened for a short amount of time until I reached my bedroom. And by reaching, I didn't mean walking into my bedroom, I teleported there. So I sat down and there I saw my body sleeping. I tried to walk away, I tried to talk but nothing was happening. I saw a cockroach beneath my feet and then I was aware that I was dreaming and I needed to wake up. I started panicking and tried to scream but nothing is happening. I could physically see myself sitting down next to my body as if I was another person watching somebody sleep. My vision then became blurry and I saw something coming beneath my feet (to my sleeping body) I'm not sure what that was but it look rusted. And then I woke up the same position that I had in my dream. I immediately sat up and looked at the time, it was around 3 to 4 am.

I just shook it off and posted a status expecting it to just be a weird experience that I could laugh about. Although people's replies told me otherwise. They say that I experienced lucid dreaming.

I then googled what that meant and also googling my experience of being able to physically see myself sleeping in my bed. I then came across the term "out-of-body-experience". It is honestly real creepy and kind of cool at the same time. I'm still unsure of what just happened (or I'm probably in denial).

So have any of you guys experienced this before too? It did seem pretty new to me and I wouldn't say that this was the 1st time I had bad dreams but if I were to scale all my dreams that seemed realistic, then I would have to put this my top 1.

15 Struggles Of Girls Who Wear Glasses.

So just a few months ago, I've been using my prescribed glasses. And let me tell you, besides the fact that it gives you a headache the first time you wear it, there are other struggles too that either caught me by surprise or just plain annoyed me.

  1. Choosing the perfect frame for your glasses. For me this is really the hardest and it took me about 4-5 hours trying to make up my mind and going from store to store just to pick out what would look good on me and is comfortable. It's like choosing a username or in game name. You just don't know if you'll like it after awhile.
  2. The people you know would ask to try on your glasses then tell you that you are blind. This happens all the time. And every time it happens, I don't know how to react or answer to them.
  3. You can't wear sunglasses or you keep switching between the two. This honestly was the reason why I didn't want actual glasses because my mom keeps giving me these cool sunglasses that I may never wear because I'm too busy wearing something that would help me see better. But then I discovered the switching technique. Sounds cool but takes up alot of patience.
  4. Lying down and reading / watching something on your phone/tablet etc. Good luck figuring out how you're gonna do this without breaking them, because I almost did!
  5. When it's really hot and wearing glasses isn't helping. You're sweating everywhere and the last thing you want is something that makes you feel uncomfortable in your face.. Yeap glasses and sweat do not mix!
  6. Eye makeup? Being a makeup lover myself, I put so much hard work on my eyes but when I start to wear my glasses, it practically never goes with what I did.
  7. Eye lashes. I have really long lashes and then I put mascara to make it abit more visible, but when I put my glasses on, it constantly bumps the lens, which either leaves a mark or feeling like you're eye lashes are trapped.
  8. Cleaning the lens every time using your shirt. I do not have any solution to this. Its just how it goes. When I wasn't wearing glasses before, I'd always see the people around me constantly doing this and wondered "why do they do it every 15 minutes?" well, now I know the answer.
  9. Fogging up. I can never learn my lesson with this because whenever I'm cooking or drinking hot choco my glasses start to fog up before I could realize that it would happen.
  10. People describing your style as a nerdy style because of your glasses. And with me wearing braces too, there is just no escape from this even if I hate hearing it. Its not a style people!
  11. Or when you're actually feeling real nice about how you look and people keep asking you if it's real or if it's prescribed ones. Especially when they try and grab it from you while you're wearing it without permission just for them to make sure.
  12. 3D movies, I personally haven't experienced this but people kept telling me how will I manage. If there's a will, there's a way! I'll make them fit over my glasses some way but I know it won't be easy.
  13. The rain. It's like there is no escape with the weather, and for some reason I imagine having glasses with it's own wipers because that would kinda help but will look weird (lol).
  14. The bridge of your nose starts to hurt in the middle of the day. When you're wearing it for so long that you could almost feel like its squishing your nose or maybe it's too loose that you'd have to readjust it every few minutes.
  15. "Look at this" says your friend but you just taken off your glasses and need to put them back on again just to see what the fuss is about. I know that they don't do it on purpose but the need to do this everytime makes it annoying yet we still do it anyway. You know what they say, now or never. Literally.
Anyway, don't let these reasons bother you so much if you're start to wear glasses. Seriously though, they are great since they help out alot and also makes you feel like you are a new you. And if you're already wearing glasses, you'd know how all of these things feel but you still love wearing them as much as I do because whether we admit it or not, it makes us feel amazing.

Are these any of the things that you experience too or is it just me and how do you deal with it? Or do you have anything else to add to the list? Hit the comment section below even if you are wondering about some other things about them because you're about to get yourself a pair. I'll try my best in answering them and also would love to read some of your thoughts or stories.

Thanks for reading and until the next blog!
