Two Things From Too Faced

For years of being a beauty junkie, I have always heard of the brand Too Faced. It is currently being known for its incredibly cute packaging and having a range of amazing quality beauty products to go with it. People have been raving on Too Faced products left and right that it could get overwhelming to choose which one to get first. I have to admit that the packaging of each product made me want to get every single one because other than me using it on my face, it would work so well as a vanity decoration (they are seriously so cute!).

Since there isn't any physical stores near my place, I browsed through Sephora PH and read about people's experience with each product to help me decide which one I should get and try out. Took me a little while but I decided to get 2 things from there.

It does smell like chocolate! When I first heard about this product smelling like chocolate, I was a bit skeptical because how could a product actually smell like that? Not gonna lie, I found myself popping this open whenever I see it just to get a whiff of the chocolate scent (Shh!). I do like that they finally included the name of each of the shades on the actual palette rather than having to keep the paper where you'd have to place it back on the palette to figure out each shade's name. It seriously bothered so much people that I'm glad they listened to their customer's requests.

For the actual product, the shades are all neutral which is quite easy to pair up with almost any look that you're going for. The colors are a mix of warm and cool tones, each one looking good with the other that you'll most likely be using every single shade. The pigmentation is good since you won't have to worry on going too overboard when you try to build up the color.

Some personal favorite shades of mine would be "Salted Caramel" because it looks so peachy that it almost looks natural whenever I apply it on my eye lid. "Triple Fudge" looks amazing when I smudge it on my eyeliner on the top and bottom because it makes it look softer around my eyes. I like to add "Marzipan" right in the middle all the time because it makes my eyes look bigger and more awake.

Too Faced Sweethearts Bronzer
PHP 1,618

This bronzer is both a shimmery cool bronzer and a shimmery warm bronzer. You could use either one but mixing them both on your brush really does create that very natural looking flush to your skin which makes it look radiant. I like how this looks subtle on the skin that when someone looks at you, they realize that you did something to your look but can't pinpoint what because of how glowing it makes your face look. The only shade that they do have at the moment is Sweet Tea which I think is the perfect shade for fair skinned people like me.

Unlike the Too Faced Chocolate Bar, this doesn't really have a scent to it other than what I feel how bronzers usually smell like. The packaging is a teal colored heart which I am so obsessed with since it gives my vanity that extra touch of decoration,  although I do feel like it is kinda too bulky for traveling purposes.  The longevity isn't really a problem for me which impressed me considering I live in such a humid place where makeup could practically melt off of your face at any minute. It stayed in tact without me having to retouch it.

Versace Bright Crystal Perfume Review

Today is my first ever perfume review and in here you will see me attempt to describe scents! So, let's see how that goes..

Price / Where did I get it from?

This was actually a gift from my mom last Christmas (To see the full list of things that I got during Christmas click HERE). But on Versace's online shop the 50ml size costs £ 51.

What do I think about it?

The scent for me is a little fruity and fresh, a little hint of floral and something that makes it bright and girly but not too overpowering. It gives off the very clean feeling and perfect if you wanna go out with practically a ponytail and no makeup because it totally makes up for it.

For longevity, it doesn't last long at all on me and considering I already spray it on my pulse points, it lasts for about 2-3 hours and it's totally gone with no trace whatsoever left from where I sprayed it.

The packaging is breathtaking. It has a gem like cap that has the Versace logo detailed in the middle. It's transparent which lets you see how much product have you used and how much you have left which is a plus for me. The label is (Idk how else to describe it) almost like printed into the bottle because it is pretty scratch proof and won't be removed even if you grip onto it everytime.

Is it worth the money?

With how amazing this smells and if you are the type of person to collect perfumes, this is what I would say will be worth the money. The longevity is the only issue I have on it but the thing that I like about it most is every time I wear this, I got someone telling me I smell great and asking me what perfume do I use.

Disclosure: I am in no way sponsored by any of the brands or companies mentioned in this post. All opinions or statements made towards the product(s) are all based off on my experience.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Matte by: Kate Moss #107 Lipstick Review

I have heard of this lipstick brand quite often and a friend of mine asked me to try it out but since Rimmel London doesn't have a store in the Philippines, I had to find an online seller that had the cheapest price in the color that I wanted which is 107 and when I visited the website here (which is the Rimmel US website), I could see that Kate was wearing that shade so I just knew I had to have it because of it's gorgeous deep berry-red with cool undertone shade.

Item Description:  Get the velvet touch. Sumptuously rich matte colour. Sublime comfort. The new winter collection created by Kate Moss.

Price: I got this from @bodyrockers_ph on instagram for P350 ($7.44 USD).

What do I think of this product?
I know that I kinda been late joining the bandwagon for this brand but again, since it isn't available in the Philippines, I haven't heard about it until I started blogging and watching all the makeup guru / junkie / enthusiast raving about this lipstick and I was surprised that it was actually pretty cheap than what I expected considering the hype surrounding it. The fact that it doesn't have a specific name for each lipstick doesn't really bother me that much although the names / numbers at the bottom are just stickers so I'm not sure how that would stay on or clear after awhile.

After trying this product out, I loved how pigmented it is and I wouldn't really need to build it up unless I would want it to appear darker but do remember that it does tend to transfer if you layer on it too much. However, I do think that this lipstick isn't completely matte but just has a semi-matte finish. It tends to sink into the lines of the lips but not exactly drying nor is it hydrating but it will not dry out your lips even more than it already is. After using this for a few days, I always notice the strong scent it has which is a powdery-perfume like smell that actually bothered me. I don't know if it's because it's new or it is just it's natural scent, just thankful that the scent doesn't stick on the lips but it is just in the smell of the product from the tube.

For the longevity, I would have to say that it does last on your lips for quite awhile (I've tried it for about 4-5 hours maxed) unless you tend to eat then it will start to fade out a lot quicker. The fading though, I may or may not be accurate about this but I sometimes experience this outline of the lips when it starts to fade, kind of like it is leaving a ring around the lips meaning the center part of my lipstick will fade but the outer part still has some lipstick left.

Sorry, I had no makeup on besides the lipstick.

Is it worth the money?
Yes and I would actually recommend this to any students heading to university or for someone who is looking for a lipstick that is on the cheap side but has lots of selections in their range. Although, not every online seller has every type of shade so you would need to do your research if you're in the Philippines. It applies smoothly and perfect for making a statement. And I would honestly be purchasing some other shades in the future from this range so I guess I am inlove with this lipstick.

So that is it for this review, if you have any further questions or suggestions, do leave a comment down below and I'll reply as soon as I see them and do share if you found this helpful or if you are planning to get it with or for your friend.

Drugstore Haul

So I know I just had a haul about a week ago, but I happen to go by the mall again today, (Yesterday since you're reading it now) and I picked up some pretty cool stuff that I really need. So yeap, here they are:

I'm pretty sure most of you are expecting some beauty products but I just had to include this because it reminds me so much of what I used to wear back in high school for school and it is these Solemate Black Flats and these are P199.75 ($4.24). Besides from the nostalgia, I actually got it because my black flats are starting to break and I know that I would need to replace it pretty soon. So, when I saw these, I just went ahead and got them plus they're really cheap.

Pantene Total Damage Care 10 and I actually already got this, but I used them all up yesterday all because I made a DIY hair toner (Will post more about that soon) so I got another one and this one is now for daily use. This costs P115 ($2.54).

The Body Treats Oil Control.. wipes I wanna say? These costs about P99 and I got it because I just don't have one so I'll give this one a try.

So, Beauty Tools, First I got the Watson's Eyebrow Razors P79 ($1.68) for all three because again, I used up all of mine and I had to repurchase them and it's good quality.

Next is the Cuticle Remover P49.75 ($1.06) and I admit, I love doing my nails but I never ever owned one of these and I'm always fascinated on watching other people use it so I decided to get myself one and have a nail session after I post this.

The Facial Hair Remover (Spring) P89 ($1.90) Another product that I never owned or used before but I have seen these babies around on youtube where some girls use this for their 'stache. I was actually gonna purchase one way back, but I never really found it in stores until today, so I got them and I'll give them a try.

I admit that I have been browsing through brushes the longest from my trip and one of them that I got is the Elf Eye Blending Brush and I do not have a brush like this plus it was pretty cheap P149.75 ($3.19), well cheapest that I saw and I have heard alot of people recommending this brush because I guess it's that good, so I'm pretty excited to try this one out.

Marionnaud N37 Pointed Eyeshadow Brush P89.75 ($1.91), I had one of these before but I lost it for I don't know what reason so I got it again today and I can tell you that I actually like this brush, but then again I have never tried out other brands for a brush like this. All I know is that whenever I use this, I get the results that I want so I'm satisfied with it.

Another Marionnaud brush and it is the Marionnaud N32 Slanted Blusher Brush P109 ($2.32) and this was actually on sale, I forgot how much was the old price but I actually needed a brush like this for contouring since I use my foundation brush to apply my contour before. I like that it's so soft and I feel like using it right now (I may or may not be stroking it on my face as I'm typing this)

For makeup I got 2 products and this one, I am not that familiar with the brand name but as I was browsing through all their products, I noticed that all of what they have there are super cheap so I picked one up and it is the lol (Lots Of Love) Bronzing Powder in 02 Brown Sugar P139 ($2.96). They only have 2 bronzer shades and this one is the matte type and the other which I think may be the 01 is a shimmery type. I got this because I am in a matte phase and if you read most of my blog posts, you would know how much matte stuff I own by now.

Lastly, I didn't actually got this today since I got this one at an online shop which is @bodyrockers_ph on Instagram and it is the Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick in 107, they sell them for P350 ($7.46). I got this because of all the people raving about this brand and some of my friends has asked me to try it because they are inlove with this product. I will do a separate review for this product soon, so all I could say is that I'm pretty excited to give this a go.

So those are all the products that I got for today and I seriously need to sort out my makeup collection because it is a mess at the moment so if you have any suggestions for makeup cases or brushes or lipstick then comment down below so you could help me (please) and if you have any more questions do not be shy, I will be replying to them as soon as I see them.

Thanks for reading and until the next blog!

ORLY Matte Topcoat Nail Polish Review

Hello everybody! Today I will be talking about one of my latest purchase and it is the ORLY Matte Topcoat Nail Polish. I have never owned an ORLY Nail Polish in general so this will be my first try of their product and let's see how it'll go..

Item Description: Matte it up! Turn regular glossy nail lacquer to a unique matte finish. Ideal for creating unique nail art and spot varnished nail looks. Directions: Apply one or two coats over your favorite ORLY nail lacquer for a matte look.

Price: P499.75 ($10.91) and I got it at the SM Department Store at SM Megamall.

What I think of this product?
I have been addicted to matte nails ever since last year but when I always buy matte polishes, there are only limited colors and I get sick of repeating nail colors all the time so when I saw this at the department store the last time I went, I just know that I had to get it because with this, I could turn all of my nail polishes matte on my nails.

In the directions, I think that it recommends using ORLY nail polishes that are not matte but I used my #25 on the Play collection nail polish from Etude House just to give it a try if it would work on other brands too, and the #25 has been my favorite this month, and when I finished applying it, I let it dry for about 5-7 minutes then applied 1 coat of the ORLY Matte Topcoat and it took awhile for it to dry but when it did, it lessened the shine of the nail polish that I used underneath and then I applied another coat and it did turn it completely matte so I think that I am satisfied.

The smell of this product is what I'm not a fan of. It smells like the usual dizzying scent that nail polishes have, I do wish that this would be unscented but I rarely encounter any nail polishes that are actually unscented or have a bearable smell.

Is it worth the money?
For the price, I do think that it is quite expensive for a nail polish because I am used to paying P15 - P200 ($0.33 - $4.37) for a single polish, so it surprised me that this costed so much. Although I do gotta say that I am satisfied with the results and I'm sure that I would use this for a very long time until I run out or it dries out (which I rarely have nail polishes that dry because I keep some of them on the fridge to keep it from drying out). So yes, I do think that if you are looking for something that would make all your nail polishes look matte on your nails, then you should definitely get this.

So that is my review for this lovely topcoat and I hope that you have found this useful or if you already tried it or you could give me cheaper alternatives or you want me to try some other products then leave a comment down below and I'll also try and answer your questions as much as I can. I will also be doing a few more product reviews for this coming days so stay tuned for that one!

Thanks for reading and until the next blog!

Review: Benefit Roller Lash.

Heeeey guys! I'm back with a new review and this time it is all about Benefit's Roller Lash. This product was one of my 1st ever purchase at Benefit ( I know I'm pretty late). The reason I decided to finally get this one is because of all the hype everybody has been giving it. Whether they'll feature it on their favorites or their empties post that convinced me to say "Okay I'll try it". So now, here we are!

Disclaimer:
Honestly, I am not a makeup professional just yet, I just really love makeup and as you guys may know, I am working on my journey to beauty and as a, I wouldn't really say a "beginner" but somewhere in between, I tend to experiment and make a ton of mistakes along the way while having fun and learning new techniques.

Item Description:
It's a roller for lashes! The eye opening Hook' n' Roll brush grabs, saparates, lifts and curls.. while the instant curve-setting formula holds for 12 hours.

97% said it visibly lifts lashes, 87% said it gives long-lasting curl, 94% said eyes look more wide open.

Price: P1,300. I bought mine at Rustan's Shangri-La.

How to use:
Left eye no mascara, right eye using the roller lash.
From the base of your lashes, wiggle the wand until you reach the tip, I did this the wrong way and ended up having some clumps so be sure to grab the eyelash and wiggle it!

Do repeat as necessary, Mine took 1 application to have visible curls, but I wanted them to be more curled so I did another coat and this is the result:

What I think of this product:

1 application.

clean or no mascara.
I'm actually really happy with the way it turned out, You could see my eye on the left that I didn't apply any mascara there and on the right I used 2 applications of this mascara, No eye curler used.

I naturally have long but straight (almost like a hood) eyelashes. Usually it takes me quite awhile to just get my eyelashes to curl and with this product, I actually managed to curl it in an instant. I also tried this out while I was doing the groceries, and unlike my other mascaras, I didn't have to worry about this product smudging or having its effect fade.

I recommend this for girls who are on-the-go. The brush of this product prevents it from grabbing too much product that tends to wear down your lashes.

Will I repurchase? Yes I will, I love it so much! I also read from the instructions that this works best with combining it with they're real mascara. Mainly, apply this roller lash mascara first then follow it up with the they're real mascara. So I guess I will be investing in that too.

SO, I guess that's it for this product. I could literally go on and on about this but I wanted to keep it as short as possible, which I think I didn't do good on that, but anyway, I hope this post has been helpful if you are looking to purchase this or if you just wanted to see what the fuss was about.Share it or +1 or comment below if you guys have other techniques or tips about this mascara and if you have suggestions for other makeup for me to try.

Until the next blog!
Joyce
