What I Got For Christmas 2018

It's that time of the year when almost every blogger/vlogger are uploading their posts or videos about what they got for Christmas and I am definitely one of those people who will binge watch and read all of them. That made me enjoy making my own as well so I'm excited to post this but I'm kind of rushing it because my mom is visiting us so I'll be spending most of my time with her.

Like always though, I got to pick out my own presents and at the same time, save the rest of what's left for the rest of the year which I think is the best thing ever. Basically, it's a haul / what I got for Christmas and I will include the prices of each one in case anyone is wanting the same things for themselves or to give as a gift and is curious about how much they were.

  • Chloe Classic Perfume (Gift Set)
Duty Free (128 USD)
I feel like I get a new perfume each year just because I am obsessed with perfumes as it is. Each year I'm looking to try out a new scent, specifically from a different brand every single time. This is my first ever Chloe perfume so I guess it's just suiting that I get the classic scent. This is one of my purchases that I have thought about all year and was thrilled to finally get it because 1. it is cheaper than the mall price because it's from Duty Free and 2. In time for Christmas and before the year ended.

  • Plaid Skirt Jumper
Forever 21 (PHP 899)
My mom and I was just going around the mall trying to find shoes and accessories for an event that we're heading to by the end of the year when I saw this and thought it was the cutest thing ever. I definitely saw this jumper from other girls on Pinterest, tumblr, Instragram and everywhere else. I always thought they looked so pretty and girly but never really went out to find them for myself just because I didn't see them for sale whenever I head to the mall and stuff and I haven't put on extra effort on finding this specific jumper. It was definitely on sale but I forgot how much was the original price and 899 for me is already within my price range for these things so I'm happy about it.
  • Dirty White Sweater
Lazy Fare @ Glorietta 1 (PHP 200)
I am guilty for having so many of these types of sweaters but I never owned one in white. My mom actually dislikes my sweater collection but I find them really comfortable, they make sweaters that are really thin that's okay to wear with the humid weather that the Philippines has. Also, I don't have to think too much about what to pair with them because they go well with shorts, skirts, pants or whatever. So when I found this and saw that it was cheap, I just decided to get it.

  • High Heels
"Margay" @ The Landmark Department Store (PHP 649)
For whatever reason, ever since I turned 20, I ran out of high heels. I had so many back in high school / when I was a teen but sadly they got ruined because of me not using them at all. Now, I had to go to places that required me to have these types of shoes. So I went to the mall with my mom to get a pair. I guess that this is gonna be the start of me collecting high heels again because as soon as I tried them on, I suddenly remember how much I used to love these types of shoes.  Again, this was on sale (50% off if I remember correctly).

  • Peripera Ink Concealer #2 Blemish Hider Beige
SM Department Store (PHP 460)
First of all, isn't this the cutest concealer ever? I swear Peripera has the cutest packaging for their products. I was definitely in need of a new concealer because I ran out and at the same time, I have been wanting to try more products from this brand, specifically this concealer. I have tried this out yesterday and I feel like it works just as it says it does but we'll see in the long run I guess. Can I just point out that this looks almost the same as the lip inks? Truly a space saver on my makeup bag if this works well.

  • L'OREAL Paris True Match Foundation in G2 Gold Porcelain
SM Department Store (PHP 500 to PHP 400)
I am gonna be honest and say that I was lowkey sad that they changed the color range because I used to buy the perfect shade of foundation for myself from them way back which was the W3 Nude Beige (I made a review about this product back in 2015 HERE). So I had to again find the closest shade I could find from their new selection. The only thing that I didn't like from this before was that it didn't work well on me during hot weathers but I did like that it looks good on me during cold weathers. I remember it not giving me enough coverage before but now I'm willing to try it again. I do appreciate the new packaging because I do not have to pour the product onto my hands anymore because it finally has a pump and I feel like they added more products into it.

  • L'OREAL Paris Hair Dye in 6.13 Golden Nude Brown
The Landmark Department Store (PHP 399 to PHP 299)
This isn't really new to me or to anyone really since I've been very open about me coloring and cutting my own hair. The dye I use for my hair is this (after I bleach my hair.. I know it's complicated) and I got this again since I saw that they were on sale. I also do need to touch up my roots and color because it's been months and it's starting to fade.
Hope that you had a Merry Christmas and I'm wishing you to have a happy new year! But first, tell me what did you get for Christmas this year?

Chanel N°5 Eau Première Perfume Review

Last March, I went to Duty Free to do some tax free shopping for me and my mom and brother. It is kind of a thing that we always do yearly when my mom comes home to the Philippines. We visit the Duty Free Fiesta Mall because if I'm not wrong, it's the biggest one here in the Philippines. Anyway, I have always wanted this perfume but I always backout when I reach the counter to get it because it does cost a lot of money (because of course, it is Chanel). When I got the chance to get it tax free, I just went ahead and got it.

Price: $109

What do I think about it?

I had a different expectation for this perfume since everybody keeps saying that it is more on the sexy side. This made me think that this must smell a bit strong but I found out that the stronger scent was the original one (the 1st one). I saw this Eau Premiere and came to find out that this is a much more muted or lighter scent, or what I would call the little sister of the original.

The scent is what I would call timeless. It gives off the old fashion or early years kind of vibe elegantly. It still has that sexy, sophisticated statement, but at the same time very modern with the clean, powdery scent that you could use on a daily as your signature scent.

If you are expecting the kind of "what is your perfume? It smells so good" kind of reaction when you wear this, it won't happen most of the time because someone would have to be really close to you to be able to smell this perfume on you.

The thing that I don't like about this is the longevity. It doesn't really last very long on your skin, just mostly about 2-3 hours and you'll need to reapply again.

The bottle is very simple, vintage and very minimalistic that pretty much focuses on the product inside and nothing more other than a little Chanel label here and there. Not really the 1st thing that people would notice when they peek at your fragrance collection, but hey, the simple ones are always the ones who are colorful inside.

Is it worth the money?

Yes, if you want to get started with buying high end or at least, Chanel type of perfumes, then I would recommend starting with this one. It is a classic perfume that again, like I said, is timeless. It is worth it if you want something that would smell amazing in whatever time it is.

Calvin Klein IN2U Her Perfume Review

This is my first Calvin Klein Perfume that I own and tried. I never usually go to their stall (especially in the Philippines) where it's a little over my budget. But I got this recently so I'm excited to review it so let's get started.

Price:

This was given as a gift for me and as I search through the internet, I'm not quite sure how much exactly is it but reading through amazon, it is  £13.80 for the size that I have which is 50ml.

What do I think of this product?

The packaging is very simple, very sleek but still makes a statement with the clean white and gold combination with "ck IN2U her" labeled around the white area.

For the scent, as you spray it, you could instantly smell the citrus scent and you would think that it would overpower the other ingredients or scents placed on this product. It does stay like that for awhile but it then fades into a vanilla scent which has this sweet side into it but not too sweet. I would say that I did smell this scent before but I just can't pinpoint where so I wouldn't say it is the most unique scent out there but it is still quite nice and not too harsh on the nose.

For longevity, it lasts me quite awhile after I sprayed it on my pulse points, roughly 6-7 hours.

Is it worth the money?

If you are looking to have a scent that would last you for awhile or throughout the day, then this would be nice for you if you are also a fan of the scent. I suggest you give it a spray test first before purchasing this because as I describe above, it does fade into a different scent after you spray it on you.

Versace Bright Crystal Perfume Review

Today is my first ever perfume review and in here you will see me attempt to describe scents! So, let's see how that goes..

Price / Where did I get it from?

This was actually a gift from my mom last Christmas (To see the full list of things that I got during Christmas click HERE). But on Versace's online shop the 50ml size costs £ 51.

What do I think about it?

The scent for me is a little fruity and fresh, a little hint of floral and something that makes it bright and girly but not too overpowering. It gives off the very clean feeling and perfect if you wanna go out with practically a ponytail and no makeup because it totally makes up for it.

For longevity, it doesn't last long at all on me and considering I already spray it on my pulse points, it lasts for about 2-3 hours and it's totally gone with no trace whatsoever left from where I sprayed it.

The packaging is breathtaking. It has a gem like cap that has the Versace logo detailed in the middle. It's transparent which lets you see how much product have you used and how much you have left which is a plus for me. The label is (Idk how else to describe it) almost like printed into the bottle because it is pretty scratch proof and won't be removed even if you grip onto it everytime.

Is it worth the money?

With how amazing this smells and if you are the type of person to collect perfumes, this is what I would say will be worth the money. The longevity is the only issue I have on it but the thing that I like about it most is every time I wear this, I got someone telling me I smell great and asking me what perfume do I use.

Product Empties [May 2015]

Welcome back everybody! Today I will be showing you the products that I managed to use until the very last drop. I have used some of them for a very long time and some, well I managed to finish them way too quickly. Am I thinking to repurchase them or not? We shall see...

Let's go to scents first shall we:

1st up, we have the DKNY (Donna Karan New York) be delicious "eau so intense" perfume. The size that I used is 1.7OZ. This was a gift from my mother I think April last year, so yea I've been holding onto this for a year now and managed to finish it already.

Item Description: A refreshing scent in an iconic apple-shaped bottle tempts you to take a bite out of life. A sophisticated blend of apples, exotic flowers and woods creates a fresh, juicy scent that can only be called delicious.

Price: Like what I said, this was a gift from my mother and I honestly have no clue how much the exact amount it costed her, so I went to their website and it says it is $68, about P3019.51 (PH peso) and not counting the shipping fee.

My thoughts on this product: Everytime I wear this perfume my friends tell me that I smell like its one of those colognes for kids but it has a unique scent that makes me smell really fresh and not the "showery-soap" kind. It doesn't really last me a whole day of wearing in because the scent fades althroughout the day.

Will I repurchase? 50-50, it is a good perfume but not really what I would pick up everytime I run out of it. If my mom decides to buy me another one then yes I would still be really happy. (Hi mom!)

Next is probably my 2nd favorite of every item here. This is "Fantasy" by: Britney Spears & Elizabeth Arden. If what I read was correct, this was the 2nd fragrance by Britney Spears back in 2005. The size of this one is 100 ml.I honestly have been using this perfume for a very long time that I couldn't remember when I got it.

Item Description: This is a love potion locked up in an attractive bottle adorned with Swarovski crystals.

Price: Again, this was another gift from my mother and I am currently searching for the price and I keep seeing a toss between $59 and $54, so I honestly don't know.

My thoughts on this product: I love this so much! Everytime I wear this perfume I get a ton of compliments with people asking "Is that your perfume?" or "Is that you I smell?" and followed by questions like "What's your perfume?" or "Where did you get it?". Aside from compliments from other people, it is very comfortable for me to wear since the scent isn't too strong on the nose and it really sticks to me that it'll last for the whole day. Good for day to day use.

Will I repurchase? YES definitely, if my mom isn't gonna buy this for me again then I would really save up for it, it is worth it.

Heading onto shower products:

The "Olay natural white radiant fairness" body wash with mulberry extract & coconut oil. The size I used is 200 ml and this lasted me for I think 2 and a half months to finish. I received 2 of these during Christmas for our Christmas party here at our subdivision.

Item description: I couldn't find the actual item desrciption for this item so I'll leave this one as it is.

Price: This was a gift for me and I am guessing that this item was a limited edition? I don't know but when I visit the olay website (the local and the international one), I couldn't find this item. However, I did see a local website that has this item for sale for P96.03 for the same size.

My thoughts on this product: I love the scent of it, but I couldn't really get myself to like this product. Maybe because I couldn't see that much of a change in my skin probably because I'm already pale looking. As for the "texture" or how it feels on my skin, nothing special really, It didn't actually make my skin feel smooth or anything, probably just the scent but I could say that it really doesn't last that long.

Will I repurchase? I'll probably try some other Olay products, but for this one, sorry nope I don't really like it.

Next one, The Herbal Essences "Hello hydration" moisturizing shampoo and conditioner for dry / damaged hair. The sizes for both of these are 160 ml each. I bought these around Mid-March and I just finally finished it yesterday.

Item description: (Shampoo) Replenish your beautiful yet dry hair with my formula fused with essential moisturizers and orchid & coconut milk. It leaves hair silky and supple.
(Moisturizer) I'm deliciously moisturizing. Drink up and replenish your hair's much needed moisture. It's time to be reunited with silky, smooth hair.

Price: P120 each from SM department store at SM Taytay.

My thoughts on this product: I was surprised that it actually did what it say it'll do. My hair had a great improvement from being "broom like" to now being super silky. The scent smells so good that I wanted to stay in the bathroom for a little longer just to enjoy it. I highly recommend this if you have dry hair.

Will I repurchase? Yes, but for now I want to try another product by them which is "color me happy" along with a combination of another brand. As for this shampoo and conditioner, yes I would repurchase in the future if I can't find anything better but for now I want to be adventurous.

For the last ones, the cosmetics:

The Precious Mineral "All day strong" BB cream from Etude House. The size is 60g and has SPF 30, to be honest this has been with me for years which I know isn't suppose to be that way but I badly wanted to finish this because this was my 1st ever splurge on makeup. And It never really caused me to have allergies, acne or breakouts that are serious so I think its good.

Item Description: I think this product has phased out already since I can't find it in their website but they now do have new lines of BB creams.

Price: I remember buying this for about P780 more or less. But for me that was a splurge already being 16 years old and having school money to buy this product was really scary but I wanted to try it.

My thoughts on this product: This BB cream is for that effect where your face looks like it's glowing, not the oily kind or the glittery kind but it looks flawless. Its really good to have it on the face for about 2-3 hours but any more than that, the product becomes cake-y and if you have oily skin it will not flatter you since it already gives the glowing effect you will look like you sweated so much. And I am sure that this isn't because its really old already because it did happen to my friend when she used this same product too years ago after I bought it.

Will I repurchase? Since I think its now unavailable, I won't (lol) but I think this item was really good for me when I was 16 because I had real dry skin before so it really didn't bother me at 1st but after awhile I started to have oily skin so this item is no longer for me. I am curious about their new product which is the face blur. So I will try that out next.

Last product and this is by far my favorite product here. This is the "Color My Brows" by Etude House and it is in the color #2 light brown. Size is 4.5g and yes both of them are empty now. One tiny container lasted me for a month if its daily use but if not it lasts for 2 months.

Item Description: Eyebrow mascara supplies brown / gold tones to match the various color treatments for Asian hair with comb to set, shade and moisten brows for a refined and natural look.

Price: P378. Before, I thought that this was abit expensive for me, but after having to try it, I think its pretty worth it.

My thoughts on this product: Like I said, this is my favorite. I naturally have bushy eyebrows and when I was a first timer in coloring in my eyebrows, it was a mess. This product though, helped me to define my eyebrows without having it to look way bushier than it already is and at the same time, creating a balance color with my hair. This product sticks with me all day and I don't have to worry about it scattering or having to be erased if I sweat because it really holds onto my eyebrows.

Will I repurchase? Yes I will, I do already know how to do my eyebrows with a pencil but this product is my on-the-go eyebrow cosmetic.

Those are all the products that I have managed to emptied out for using it for months & years, Hope this has helped you if you are looking to use some of these products too. And hope to see you on my next blog entry!
