What I Got For Christmas 2018

It's that time of the year when almost every blogger/vlogger are uploading their posts or videos about what they got for Christmas and I am definitely one of those people who will binge watch and read all of them. That made me enjoy making my own as well so I'm excited to post this but I'm kind of rushing it because my mom is visiting us so I'll be spending most of my time with her.

Like always though, I got to pick out my own presents and at the same time, save the rest of what's left for the rest of the year which I think is the best thing ever. Basically, it's a haul / what I got for Christmas and I will include the prices of each one in case anyone is wanting the same things for themselves or to give as a gift and is curious about how much they were.

  • Chloe Classic Perfume (Gift Set)
Duty Free (128 USD)
I feel like I get a new perfume each year just because I am obsessed with perfumes as it is. Each year I'm looking to try out a new scent, specifically from a different brand every single time. This is my first ever Chloe perfume so I guess it's just suiting that I get the classic scent. This is one of my purchases that I have thought about all year and was thrilled to finally get it because 1. it is cheaper than the mall price because it's from Duty Free and 2. In time for Christmas and before the year ended.

  • Plaid Skirt Jumper
Forever 21 (PHP 899)
My mom and I was just going around the mall trying to find shoes and accessories for an event that we're heading to by the end of the year when I saw this and thought it was the cutest thing ever. I definitely saw this jumper from other girls on Pinterest, tumblr, Instragram and everywhere else. I always thought they looked so pretty and girly but never really went out to find them for myself just because I didn't see them for sale whenever I head to the mall and stuff and I haven't put on extra effort on finding this specific jumper. It was definitely on sale but I forgot how much was the original price and 899 for me is already within my price range for these things so I'm happy about it.
  • Dirty White Sweater
Lazy Fare @ Glorietta 1 (PHP 200)
I am guilty for having so many of these types of sweaters but I never owned one in white. My mom actually dislikes my sweater collection but I find them really comfortable, they make sweaters that are really thin that's okay to wear with the humid weather that the Philippines has. Also, I don't have to think too much about what to pair with them because they go well with shorts, skirts, pants or whatever. So when I found this and saw that it was cheap, I just decided to get it.

  • High Heels
"Margay" @ The Landmark Department Store (PHP 649)
For whatever reason, ever since I turned 20, I ran out of high heels. I had so many back in high school / when I was a teen but sadly they got ruined because of me not using them at all. Now, I had to go to places that required me to have these types of shoes. So I went to the mall with my mom to get a pair. I guess that this is gonna be the start of me collecting high heels again because as soon as I tried them on, I suddenly remember how much I used to love these types of shoes.  Again, this was on sale (50% off if I remember correctly).

  • Peripera Ink Concealer #2 Blemish Hider Beige
SM Department Store (PHP 460)
First of all, isn't this the cutest concealer ever? I swear Peripera has the cutest packaging for their products. I was definitely in need of a new concealer because I ran out and at the same time, I have been wanting to try more products from this brand, specifically this concealer. I have tried this out yesterday and I feel like it works just as it says it does but we'll see in the long run I guess. Can I just point out that this looks almost the same as the lip inks? Truly a space saver on my makeup bag if this works well.

  • L'OREAL Paris True Match Foundation in G2 Gold Porcelain
SM Department Store (PHP 500 to PHP 400)
I am gonna be honest and say that I was lowkey sad that they changed the color range because I used to buy the perfect shade of foundation for myself from them way back which was the W3 Nude Beige (I made a review about this product back in 2015 HERE). So I had to again find the closest shade I could find from their new selection. The only thing that I didn't like from this before was that it didn't work well on me during hot weathers but I did like that it looks good on me during cold weathers. I remember it not giving me enough coverage before but now I'm willing to try it again. I do appreciate the new packaging because I do not have to pour the product onto my hands anymore because it finally has a pump and I feel like they added more products into it.

  • L'OREAL Paris Hair Dye in 6.13 Golden Nude Brown
The Landmark Department Store (PHP 399 to PHP 299)
This isn't really new to me or to anyone really since I've been very open about me coloring and cutting my own hair. The dye I use for my hair is this (after I bleach my hair.. I know it's complicated) and I got this again since I saw that they were on sale. I also do need to touch up my roots and color because it's been months and it's starting to fade.
Hope that you had a Merry Christmas and I'm wishing you to have a happy new year! But first, tell me what did you get for Christmas this year?

Haul: Halloween Themed & Other Things On Sale.

Yea so I kinda went shopping again..
I just couldn't resist! Most of the products here (actually all of them) are what I was trying to get my hands on for MONTHS! Yes it has been that long that these things are on standby on my to-buy list because I just couldn't find them anywhere until last October 27, 2015. Me and my brother went to SM Megamall and here are the things that I got:

Let's start with the random things first since I've been so excited to get all of them:

Q & A a day, 5 year journal.
If you've been a fan of reading blogs, pinterest, tumblr, weheartit, you've probably seen this book for awhile now and yes, it is 1 question a day for 5 years. Each day a different question and it lets you see what answers you put in a year or so before when you're in the midst of filling it up. Great for people who loves keeping journals since it has questions that sometimes we tend to neglect but bring out the answers that are worth remembering. I got this from Fully Booked at SM Megamall and the original price was P699 (14.95 USD) but since they were having a 20% off, I only got it for P559.20 (11.96 USD) and yes I've been hunting for this journal for probably a year and I almost bought it online since I gave up looking for it but finally saw that Fully Booked finally has them in stock but they only had about 4 of them and I bought 1 so yeap, 3 left at the moment so if you're trying to find it, go get it!

Quick FX No-Shine Mattifier
Any beauty junkie in the Philippines would know how difficult it is to find this product anywhere. It's always sold out because it's very cheap and works amazing as a makeup primer. And yes, I bought 5 because let's be honest, if you love something so much and see it available, you go and get it because you'll never know when you'll be able to buy 1 again. I got this at Watson's in SM Megamall for P89 (1.90 USD) each. Will do a more indepth review on this product soon!

Classic Carmex Moisturizing Lip Balm
A friend of mine and I were talking the other day about lipsticks, we then went into the discussion about lip balms because I told her that almost every lip balm I use doesn't really work well for me so she told me she uses this and it worked great for her so I picked this one up at SM department store at SM Megamall for P149.75 (3.20 USD) and I'm really excited to try it.

Venzi Soft Lined Journal
I just finished writing on my last journal so I had to get a new one to write on and yeap, I actually wrote on this one already and I like how simple and light it is. It has an inner pocket at the back if you want to store some pictures or receipts or tickets that you would wanna keep. My journals were always very out there with the designs or texture so I guess this would have to be my simplest journal yet and I hope to fill 192 pages of it with worth while memories and plans that I could read back to years after. I got this for P219 (4.68 USD) at National Bookstore in SM Megamall.

Buttoned Shirt
H&M was having their sale as usual, (I honestly don't recall ever going to H&M without a sale or I'm just lucky? :D) and I picked this shirt up it was originally P899 (19.23 USD) but went down to P500 (10.97 USD) and because I love sleeves like these and I wanted something simple to throw on whenever I do some errands but still look put together.

Black Hat
I actually saw this hat at H&M on their sale a few months ago and when I tried it on at that time, I just knew I had to get it because I loved how it looked on me but what made me not get it are my thoughts of "where would I even use it for?" and "wouldn't I look weird walking around with a big hat on?" well, let's just say when I got home that night, it HAUNTED me. I suddenly regret not getting it because for some reason I found myself looking at other girls wearing and styling a hat like this and the normal price was hella expensive. Thankfully, they put it on sale again and I never even thought twice anymore, I picked up my size and just went ahead and got it. The original price was P1,190 (25.45 USD) and it went down to P200 (4.28 USD). SCORE!

For Halloween themed products, I only got a few,

Jack o'lantern and Pug with bat wings socks
When I saw this on Topshop's instagram, all I could think about was I have to have them especially that PUG! They are so cute and so soft that I think I'll live in it every after wash. A little bit on the pricey side but I just couldn't help myself! Anything with an amazing Halloween or festive design definitely gets me and this is worth P245 (5.24 USD) each.

A bunny ears ponytail
Another thing that I found from Topshop and not gonna lie, I actually wanted a headband but they were all sold out so I just went with this one because I always tie my hair anyway and this would be a nice accessory to throw on when I'm out of the house. It is worth P195 (4.17 USD)

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
Halloween themed food? YES PLEASE! I just got a half dozen Halloween donuts for me and my brother. He loves them actually and picked them himself. My personal favorite would have to be Frankie, that Kitkat though, super creative! And speaking of Frankie, I used my Krispy Kreme Philippines app for a free 1 pc Frankie donut and brewed coffee. Total score! So if you're planning to visit Krispy Kreme, do download the app beforehand to get amazing rewards!

I apologize for the extra long post but I kinda felt like shopping day that day was an adventure and I found the hidden treasures that I was looking for in months. So I would say that was an extra successful trip and worth all that money saying goodbye to me. But I couldn't be the only one who found hidden treasures at the mall right? Leave a comment down below on what you got for Halloween or just any random things that you think you've scored on.

But I know that no one will come to save me-my life is not a fairy tale after all.Well, at least no one has come so far. Recently, my hair has started to grow rapidly and it's now long enough to reach the bottom of the tower from my window. I've also has the strangest dreams of a beautiful, green-eyed man. When Mama isn't around, I plan my escape, even if it's just for a little while. Stolen Nights by: Rebecca Maizel (A Vampire Queen Novel)

Original Price: P465 ($10.00 USD)
Price On Sale: P100 ($2.15 USD)

Last year, the love of my life died performing a ritual to fulfill my one wish and make me human. And now I’ve performed the same ritual for my friend Vicken – and survived. Why am I here, back safe on Wickham campus?
The strong magic I used in the ritual did more than just make Vicken human. It drew someone to Lover’s Bay who does not belong here. She wants the ritual. Then she wants me dead. And she will take down any and everyone in my life to get what she wants.
As if that weren’t enough, the ritual has also summoned the anger of the Aeris, the four elements and most fundamental powers on earth. They have a surprise and an unbearable punishment for me – like stepping into the sun for the first time, only to be put into a cage. And now I have to make an impossible choice – between love or life, yearning or having, present or past…

Rise by: Anna Carey (An Eve Novel)

Original Price: P349 ($7.50 USD)
Price on Sale: P75 ($1.61 USD)

How far will you go when you have nothing left to lose?
When she lost her soul mate, Caleb, Eve felt like her world had ended. Trapped in the palace, forced to play the part of the happy, patriotic princess of The New America—and the blushing bride of her father's top adviser—Eve's whole life is a lie. The only thing that keeps her going is Caleb's memory, and the revolution he started.
Now, Eve is taking over where Caleb left off. With the help of Moss, an undercover subversive in the King's court, she plots to take down The New America, beginning with the capital, the City of Sand. Will Eve be able to bring about a new, free world when she's called upon to perform the ultimate act of rebellion—killing her father?
In Rise, Eve must choose who to leave behind, who to save, and who to fight as Anna Carey's epic tale of romance and sacrifice in the chilling dystopia of The New America comes to a stunning conclusion.
