All In The Mole.

I wasn't always proud of this mole. I actually spent most of my life hating it because as I was growing up, kids just kept teasing me that it makes me look ugly and weird or maybe they were calling me "Nora" or "Gloria" ( An actress and a former president in the Philippines). It wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but for kids, they made it seem like it was. Some of them even went as far as mocking me for my mole and told me that it'll grow bigger and bigger until it eats up my whole face.

It didn't really stop there. Some of the adults would comment on it that my mole looks "alive" (buhay na buhay) and would describe me to people as the really light skinned kid with a mole. I just hated being described like that and it just made me think that one day I'll have it removed. I was so convinced on removing it until I was 17. You could tell that I just hated it so much because I would even go to an extent of covering it with makeup just because I thought I looked better that way.

I later realized that this mole is what actually differentiates me from other people. It's cool to think that I could actually pull off having it on my face and being lucky that it's natural and doesn't cause any complications to my health. I then started calling it my beauty mark. What added to my confidence was looking at Norma Jean a.k.a. Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn was a very beautiful woman that her mole became a very big asset to her. Her mole was definitely natural, although a little bit faint, she would enhance it more by darkening it. She did however got tired of it in some part of her life, especially with people trying to replicate that mole, so she in a movie that she starred in, she covered up her mole. Nonetheless, she still rocked that look and I'm happy that I have the almost exact same one. (Fun fact: I was born years after the same date that Marilyn Monroe died, a few minutes difference but technically the same. Maybe that's why I feel so passionate about her?)

I'm really happy that I overcame something that everybody made fun of me for and that made me hate how I looked. I have no more plans on having my mole removed and I now want to keep it forever and I actually want people to notice it more.

I'm just really proud of it now.

Painting above is made by my friend Elix. I showed her a painting of some lips that I told her I want it done almost the same but add a mole to it. So, thank you Elix if you're reading this. Her blog will be coming soon all about her artwork, I'll keep you guys posted about that. For now, if you wanna see more of her work or if you want something to be made by her, click HERE.

  • Price and where did I buy it:
P745 ($16.03 USD) at Rustan's Shangri-La. Click HERE to see what else I got during the time I bought this.

What do I think of this product?
I do admit that while I was trying it, I was afraid of the brush itself. It is a felt tip liner, quite soft that I thought if I use this, I'll surely make a mess. I was used to using a dip brush and pens that isn't this soft so it was really a surprise for me that this is easier to use because of the control I have over where it goes and the precision of the brush is perfection. It dries out fast and you have about less than a minute to fix the mistakes if you did any. It isn't completely matte and not shiny. I usually don't fill in the inner corners because of how hard it is, but when I did attempt to do it using this eyeliner, it was really easy.

    Is it worth the money?
Yeap, definitely lives up to it's hype too. I would recommend this for beginners because of how I described the brush, it is perfect for on-the go everyday use. I haven't tried the other colors yet but what I have is black and indeed, it is very black, very opaque and I won't have to worry about reapplying it later on since it survives my constant sweating. Not a cheap eyeliner but since you'll most likely finish this up and only have to apply it once everyday (if you wanna wear it everyday) then I think it's a good investment.

    Wearing it here!

So that is it for this review. I now have 2 products from Stila and the other one would be my Stila All Day Liquid Lipstick in Patina (if you wanna read my review all about it, click HERE) and so far, I am not disappointed. I'm actually looking forward for a new product to try out from this line so if you have any suggestions for me to try, do leave a comment down below or even if you have any more further questions, I'll be sure to reply as soon as I see it.

I hope that this has helped if you are looking to try out this product. And ps: I just realized I dreamed of this exact moment, and yeap, I dreamt that I was making a blog post and the ones I typed above are what I dreamed about. It should've felt creepy but I'm actually excited about it haha!

Stila All Day Liquid Lipstick "Patina" Review

So yesterday, me and my brother went to Shangri-la Rustan's just to get this lipstick. I've seen this all over youtube, weheartit and also from other bloggers. Everyone just loved it so much and I decided I wanted it in my life since from what I've seen, this color looks great on everybody. So when we got to the stila stall there, (I almost couldn't find it since the space was a tad too small and it was in the far corner) "Patina" wasn't on display, I asked for it and lucky me, they had 1 last stock left. It was reserved for someone but they didn't picked it up on their suppose deadline so yea, I got it!

The size of this product is 0.10 FL.OZ. / OZ. LIQ. / 3 ml and this would really take a long time for me to finish but not too big and not too small and works well if you're putting it on your bag or make up kit when you're traveling or just heading out.

    Item Description:

A creamy-matte, full coverage lip color that delivers bold, long lasting color and stays in place for up to 6 hours of continuous wear.

The texture is weightless on lips and delivers superb comfort and its color-rich formula will not bleed or transfer.

Enriched with vitamin E and avocado oil, Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick softens the lips so they look and feel beautiful!

    Price:

P1,250 which is $27.71. Yep a lot more expensive compared to other countries which only costs them $22 which is P992.53. I got it at Shangri-la Rustan's.

What I think of this product?

To be completely honest, I was having 2nd thoughts on actually buying this at first because besides the fact that it is pricey, my lips are very dry and I thought that this product wouldn't look good on me. Well, I was wrong, even if I didn't apply lipbalm and just put it in, it actually moisturizes my lips but it doesn't feel sticky which is what actually sold me on getting it.

Like from what I said above, I am loving this shade so much! It's so beautiful and kind of reminds me what most hollywood celebs are actually wearing now like Ariana Grande and Kylie Jenner. It actually smells really good too like no hint of chemical smell whatsoever. Fragrant but not overpowering that would make you feel dizzy so that is another +1 for it.

The cons on this product would have to be it's application. It is indeed pretty messy so do start at the middle part of your lips and so on. Another thing is it sinks in to the lines on your lips and the kiss test, well for me that didn't really work for I don't know what reason but even if it does leave a little mark on me, the color on my lips doesn't fade and having to wear it all day yesterday, I think it is long lasting on your lips.

    Is it worth the money?

Yes, It is beautiful and definitely worth the investment. If you're the type to like wearing matte lipsticks then you should go ahead and try this. I do think Patina is the best but then again, another color I had my eye on was Aria but it wasn't on stock. The lady who assisted me told me that Beso, Patina and Aria are always the ones out of stock because it's what people are always buying from them. So if you're Stila stores accepts reservations whenever they restock, do reserve as soon as possible if you ever think of getting it because like I said, it sells out fast!

So I guess that's it for this product, All in all I think I would consider this one of my holy grail lipsticks now. I hope that this has helped you if you are looking into getting this product or if you're just curious about it. Do comment below if you have any other products you suggest me to try out that you'd think I would like or if you have similar or different experience after using this product.
