5 Months with The iPhone SE

Why did I get a new phone?
How many GB did I decided to get?
Where did I buy it?
Is it worth it?

After 3 years, I decided to finally get a new phone.. well, actually more like I had to because my old phone which was the Samsung S3 mini finally broke (seriously wouldn't turn on anymore even when I changed batteries). So, I was using my phone back in high school which was the Samsung Champ. The Samsung champ couldn't really use apps (unless I installed some JAR files into it, which I don't really know how). I do have my iPad 2 although it wasn't 3G so I couldn't put a sim card in it and it's too big for me to carry around whenever I leave the house so I just use it at home. So, a new phone was the best choice for me.

To be quite honest with you, I was suppose to get the iPhone 5s in Gold. The reason is, I didn't think that the iPhone 6s sizes would be a good fit for me because they're huge and not to mention, expensive. I was already inquiring through some stores that still sells the iPhone 5s when I told some of my friends that I was gonna buy it because I needed a new phone. They told me to just wait for the iPhone SE to be released since it's the same size but pretty much has the same specs as an iPhone 6s and guess what... they have the pink one (rose gold)! I'm honestly a sucker for pink that it's embarrassing.

The iPhone SE took a little while to be released in the Philippines so I had to wait for a month and a few weeks to actually get it. As I was waiting, I was contemplating on getting the 16 gb version or the 64 gb one. I mean, I use my phone for texting, calling, social media, music and maybe a game or two. 16 gb sounded good at the moment but everyone told me it would not be enough since I tend to use phones until I can't do anything with it anymore (a.k.a. years) and that I was a photo hoarder and store lots of songs on my phone. Another thing to consider is that iPhone SE is the newest phone that would be able to update to the latest IOS versions than previously released devices and it has 4k video which eats up a lot of memory.

So, after it got released, I wasn't able to buy it just yet since it keeps getting sold out at all of the places that I go to. But I finally got it on June 6th at Greenhills shopping center at the Vmall since the cellphone shops up there are permanent shops which means they don't transfer to different spots incase you needed to come back unlike the ones that are on top of the indoor market. Plus, it was a whole lot cheaper than the authorized apple resellers sell them for. I got the 64 gb in Rose gold for PHP 27,000 (Original price was PHP 29,590) with one year warranty. It was sealed (a.k.a. brand new) and is made in California along with the earpods, USB adaptor, lightning cable, apple stickers, manual and sim ejector.

For the specs, it's pretty much the same with the iPhone 6s with the A9 processor, 2 gb of ram, 12 megapixels camera (on the back), live photos and front facing flash, hey Siri command without having to press anything and 4k video. The only difference is that it doesn't have 3D touch, the front facing camera is 1.2 megapixels which the iPhone 6s has the 5 megapixels,it doesn't have optical image stablization and it has the 1st generation touch ID rather than the 2nd generation all in a smaller screen. There have been people saying that it has a much better battery life than the 6s, though I'm not quite sure, but from my experience, the battery life does last long.

I've been gaming, playing music, taking pictures and using my social media accounts on this phone and I just really love it. The response is very quick and smooth that I really feel is a huge upgrade from my Samsung S3 Mini heck even from my iPad 2.

Anyway, I'm just really inlove with this phone and I'm glad that I got it and will be using it for years. ♥ Also, leave a comment down below if you want me to do a "What's on my iPhone" video or post since I'm not sure if anyone's interested in that.

Quick FX CC Cream Review

I received this product from Quick FX a few months ago and have been trying to decide what my final verdict for this product was and now that I finally know, I'll be sharing it to you guys.

Price:
PHP 89 at any Watsons or SM Department Store at their beauty section.

What do I think about it?

So, from the packaging, it claims to color correct which can conceal, hydrate and protect and give a healthy glow on the skin on one application. Their directions for use is on the back and it says: Apply in circular motion blending evenly into skin. Layer for buildable coverage. Wear underneath foundation to minimize the appearance of imperfections, even out skintone, and provide natural luminosity to dull skin.

Okay, so for me, I tried this as an actual CC cream and just used it on my face for a whole day and I'm not so sure about that because it totally did not last on my skin and made me look greasy. The next day, I tried this the same way, applying it all over my face and then putting a foundation on top. It made me look way cakey and very unnatural. I was starting to dislike it from this part on but then I tried to read the actual product and all I could see was "color correct" (you know the saying, sometimes a pencil is just a pencil, don't overthink it). Then, I used this just on my red or dark spots and blemishes that are way too noticeable, blended it in and then put a foundation above it. With this method, it worked perfectly for me and a plus because the red spots that I had before applying this now gives me a nice healthy glow which is an illusion and I didn't expect from this product.

Do note that this is not a concealer at all but just a color corrector.

Is it worth the money?

After figuring out what it was meant for is the reason that I think it is definitely worth the money because it's pretty cheap and comes with a resealable pack. You honestly don't have to use much of this product everytime. Just a dot per spot you wanna color correct is enough. This CC cream also has just one shade which is nothing to worry about because it does adapt to every skin type. I used this on my friend and my mom who had different skin tones than I do and it worked amazing for them too.

Disclosure: I am in no way payed to say anything about this product, Quick FX just sent it to me to try out because they just recently released it and would like for me to review it. All opinions or statements made were based off on my own experience whilst using the product.

Maybelline Color Show Lipstick in 401 Sweet Orchid Review

I just recently found Maybelline's Color show Lipsticks and I honestly didn't know they had these or I just walked passed it everytime. I noticed that all their colors are pretty vibrant and what I would not always wanna wear but I wanted to try it so I got this which is Sweet orchid.

Price: P165 (3.52 USD) from Watsons

What do I think about it?
First thing would have to be the packaging. Very simple and sleek and gives the professional looking type of casing. The scent is kinda strong but once it's on your lips, you won't even notice it anymore. It has a creamy texture that is good for those who has dry lips since it also doesn't crack but not really the feel for those who doesn't like to be aware that they're wearing a lipstick since it feels the same thing as when you're wearing a lip balm. The color is buildable and it doesn't bleed. It does transfer especially when you eat and drink but still leaves some color on your lips.

No filter. Indoor shot.

Is it worth the money?
Yes it is. If you are on a budget and want to try out huge ranges of colors, then this would be a good way to go. It does kinda remind me of those lipsticks that are used by makeup artists for when you're doing a shoot or a party.
