5 Books I Used To Love // Teen Fiction Novels

These past few days, I've been trying to find some new reads and while I scan my on growing book collection, I noticed some of my old favorites. a.k.a. during the preteen / teenage years. I honestly forgotten some of these book's story lines so I had to reread some of them when I had the time and I decided that I would like to share some of them here because maybe some of you haven't been able to read it yet and would want some suggestions so here they are!

Secrets of my hollywood life
by: Jen Calonita

I have the 3 books and the others I believe I used to have the ebook on my iTouch 4 which I lost years ago so I will have to get those again. I read and loved this when I was 12 or 13 and admired the story so much because once upon a time I wanted to be an actress and this gave me the "inside scoop" or what was the experience of being an A-list actress. I don't really know, I was obsessed with it and it wasn't too cheesy and have started rereading it again, now I'm on the 2nd book.

Fallen series
by: Lauren Kate

Again, 3 books and an ebook which I also lost. This was truly a favorite of mine when I was 15 or 16. A book that has an interesting story line but easy to fall in love with. It's a story about a girl and a boy who is a fallen angel. They spent lifetimes finding and losing each other. This time around, it seems to be different.

Ghost Girl
by: Tonya Hurley

This is a book about a girl who is practically invisible in her school. She doesn't have a lot of friends but she does wanna become popular. One day, she choked on a gummy bear and died. That doesn't stop her from getting what she wants, so she became pretty creative with her tactics. I remember not being able to finish the whole series of this book though, so I will be planning to read everything soon.

Nancy Drew
by: Carolyn Keene

I'm sure that this is one of the most famous teen mystery books out there. A teenage girl detective? Uh, yes please! I only have a few novels but I was pretty addicted to this one the most and I remember having to exchange books with some of my classmates from grade school then we'd discuss what we read or express our reactions to the story, almost like we were in a book club. This book never bored us.

Thirst
by: Christopher Pike

I remember this one to be another one of my favorites during my "mid teenage years". I went through a phase of becoming addicted with vampires and all those things so I got this book and was never disappointed. It's about Alisa a 5000 year old vampire who feeds but does not kill. Her maker hunts for her while she does everything she can to survive. Sometimes, going against her own rules.

Another book that was my favorite but not in my stash (due to moving, I lost it) The Madison Finn Series.
So those are some of my books inside my stash that I haven't read for awhile but remember loving them all so much. I'm slowly rereading them before I get some more new books to get and read.

If you have any recommendations, do not hesitate to tell me ♥

Books You Must Read!

Hello fellow bookworms! So I've been collecting and started to read fiction novels for years now (I honestly can't remember when I started) I just know that the books practically ate half of my allowance everytime. So without further ado let's get started!

I will be putting them all in no particular order, I think all of them are quite a favorite of mine and wouldn't really be able to choose.

1. Love Me With Lies series by:: Tarryn Fisher.

(The Opportunist, Dirty Red and Thief)

This series for me actually stuck by me for awhile... meaning I didn't read any other book after it just to get over the hangover from what this book gave me. It is one of those books that would give you an emotional roller coaster. Each character has an interesting story that would explain how much emotion they put in to everyone around them. I don't know what else to say about this but you need to read it. You will not be disappointed.

2. Love and Lists by: Tara Sivec

This book from the very first chapter of it, I knew that I wouldn't be able to put it down. It is funny and entertaining and what you would think "This should be a movie", well I don't know but I really think that this is one of those books where you would feel that the scenarios are very familiar, you won't be completely lost since it is very relatable especially to the young adults. It is a romantic comedy, if you love those kind of stuffs then go and read this.

3. Mercy Thompson Series by: Patricia Briggs
(Moon Called, Blood Bound, Iron Kissed, Bone Crossed, Silver Borne, River Marked, Frost Burned, Night Broken and soon to be released in 2016 Fire Touched)

An urban fantasy book. The heroin is very likeable. I couldn't exactly explain why but the heroin is what I think would be unusual. She is brave while being the only one of her kind and being surrounded by all these mythical creatures is pretty unique. The series has an amazing plot and would actually test your knowledge if you would ever predict what may or may not happen throughout the story and it doesn't get repetitive. So if you're up for some books to read for the week and have a love for the werewolves and other creatures then have a go at this series.

4. Me Before You by: Jojo Moyes

I think I would categorize this as a romantic drama. While reading this book, you wouldn't be aware that the lines that most of the characters say would probably hit you home. You wouldn't think it but you eventually will. It shows us all the value of life and why we are worthy of being able to live it. It tests you your limits and when you think you had enough. Seriously, just get this book, its great. I can't say anymore or I'll just end up spoiling everything haha!

5. Thirst series by: Christopher Pike

I must warn you though that you may have a love-hate relationship with this book. I just can't tell you why if you haven't read it yet but for me this series has an amazing story line it is very elaborate and doesn't really give you much room to question the scenarios that are happening. The characters are all very intriguing especially Sita is 5,000 years old and a vampire. She feeds but she doesn't kill. This is one of the books that I loved years ago and still remember the whole thing until today.

So those are the books that I highly recommend you getting and reading. I really could go on and on about more book recommendations but for now, I think 5 would do. Do comment below if you have any other book suggestions too or go in a discussion with me about these books if you already read them too.

Thanks for reading! Until the next blog
