20 Last Minute Blog Post Ideas

You ever get that day when you somehow messed up your editorial calendar or you ran out of blog post drafts to publish? Yea those days are very pressuring and irritating. We find ourselves staring at a blank page on our computer screen, willing our fingers to go on and write and just nothing comes out. What to do? Well, let me try and help you with these last minute posts that no one will ever know the struggle you went through.

  1. A little life lately post. Just a round up of how your life has been since the last time you've updated.
  2. Tell a story. You can start a series on your blog where you just sit down and write about stories in your life that you think are worth sharing.
  3. Write a "part 2" of any of your old blog posts that you think should be continued.
  4. Write a letter to your younger self or what you wish you knew back then.
  5. Write an open letter to somebody you know or someone you're yet to meet.
  6. Something out of the blue. Try out things that aren't really usually on your blog and write about your experience.
  7. Do a tag. Any tag that you think is relevant to your niche will do. It's easy and entertaining. Helps ease up all that tension in your mind.
  8. Share your blogging process.
  9. Do a challenge like the latest thing on your camera roll, your memo on your phone, last text message you received, and try to elaborate on what they mean or how that happened. It can be really funny though.
  10. Share something about you like your pet peeves or guilty pleasures.
  11. Read an article or documentary and share your views on it.
  12. Talk about your hobby other than blogging.
  13. What's your current go-to look? Share it and explain why your comfortable with it.
  14. Write about your expectations or what you're working to achieve on your blog.
  15. Create an anti-bucket list or things that you never wanna do.
  16. Write about things you wish existed.
  17. Write your own blog post ideas or list of something people should take note of.
  18. Share something you used to love back then but don't do now.
  19. Write about who you're following on any social media platforms and why you think your readers should follow them too.
  20. Do a Q&A. Have your readers ask you certain questions that they're curious about and try to answer as much as you can.

Don't sweat it, sometimes the greatest ideas comes from something you least expect. Try writing down your thoughts and see if it can give you something. Nothing wrong with that since you can delete it afterwards. Hope that this has been helpful.

    1. Yea I get what you mean about changing your mind at the last minute of writing a post. I usually make blog drafts for a week or 2 weeks worth when I'm feeling super inspired. Then I only add more things every other day when I don't feel lazy.
