Halloween Movies For Wimps | 2015

While Halloween is probably one of the most exciting events of the year, you would probably want to be in on it in any sort of way but is too scared to actually do anything that is considered tradition which is a.k.a. too scary for you. How about celebrating with some movies to watch that are not too scary but still has that Halloween theme going on? Well, here is a list of movies that would help you appreciate the joy of Halloween and not scare your pants off.

  • Twitches 1 and 2
Scare factor: 1/10
Go Twitches! Go Twitches! Go Twitches! A story of 2 teen witches separated from birth and adopted by 2 different families. They meet on their 21st birthday and discover that they have powers. Together, they must save the world where they were born in and where their birth mother is.

  • Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Scare Factor: 4/10
One of the classics. It is an American comedy horror film about a cheerleader who was destined to become a vampire slayer.

  • Hocus Pocus
Scare Factor 2/10
Another one of Disney's classics. After 3 centuries, 3 witch sisters are resurrected on Halloween night by two teenagers and a young girl and it is up to them to save the world from the witch's reign of terror. The music in this film is a classic.

  • Shaun Of The Dead
Scare Factor 5/10
More funny than scary actually. Shaun just wanted to get back with his ex girlfriend, but in the midst of it, he discovers that they were in a zombie apocalypse. Watch how he tries to survive but still try and rekindle his love with his ex.

  • Harry Potter
Scare Factor 3/10
Not really a Halloween type of movie, but you can't deny that the witchcraft happening althroughout the series suits the magic of Halloween very well. Perfect for binge watching with friends, family or by yourself.

  • The Nightmare Before Christmas
Scare Factor: 1/10
Now who said you have to be scared to enjoy Halloween? Here is a combination of both of your favorite events of the year. What happens when Jack becomes bored of his life? when he is tired of scaring people and not seem to see a change? He then discovers a secret passage into a town that is Christmas themed but he does not understand the whole concept of it. Plus, the music in this movie is worth the listen.

  • The Haunted Mansion
Scare Factor 4/10
It is about the realtor who is so driven in his career that when they were offered to look at a mansion, he decided to bring along his family there before they head to vacation. They then notice that the mansion was haunted and while inside, the man learns a lot of things about his family that he neglected.

Anything else I missed? Happy Halloween!

  3. Some real classics here. I remember watching Twitches when I was younger and Harry Potter I personally watch all year round. Tower of Terror is a non-scary one that I like to watch around Halloween, I love that it's based on the ride!
